It's been a busy summer season preparing for this year's harvest.
Paula has been in the kitchen experimenting with new ways to cook with apples. She always has some great new jelly recipies but hasn't forgotten the ones you all remember from last year. This year, we will again be offering ready to bake apple pies. If you don't have time to cook, call Paula before you visit and for a small fee she can have them piping hot and fresh out of the oven for you. Ask her about specialty pies for your next dinner party. (The sour-cream cinnamon apple pie is a real treat! I'm betting you won't get it home without tasting!!!)

As you know, we sell our apples "by the bag" - the bigger the bag you buy, the less it costs per pound. But in fairness to those customers who love apples, but don't necessarily want to get the big half-bushel bags, we started a new item last season called the Apple Book. You purchase a booklet of 6 coupons for 5 one-peck sized bags of apples (10 lbs) and one half bushel bag of drops (20 lbs). The savings is $10 over paying for the bags individually. The coupons never expire, so if you don't get a chance to use them all this season, you can always use them the next.

We added a cider press last season and found out why they should be motorized! With a manual press we can make limited amounts of fresh cider and it always sells out fast so get it when you see it. We do pasturize the cider as well.

Additionally, for the handicapped or elderly who have difficulty traversing the grassy path from the general parking area, you may instead, park at the end of the driveway at 394 Erickson Rd. - Just be courteous enough not to block the garage doors, please.

We look forward to seeing you again this season!
